Bringing Hope to Street Youth Through Consistency and Love – Esther’s Internship Experience
Esther's New Year’s resolution was to make a difference in her community and after researching FOA, she knew she’d found the perfect place to give back.
Bernard is an easy-going and passionate young man who values hard work and is action oriented.
Bernard has a soft spot for children and is always happy to be surrounded by them, learning from their resilience and innocence while striving to provide the care and protection they need to thrive. He joined FOA because he is passionate about creating a better life for children in street situations, believing that every child deserves the opportunity to grow up in a safe and nurturing environment.
His role is to assist with overseeing the operations and finances of all of Future of Africa’s business sections including Selasie Farms and Groceries. He holds a degree in Agribusiness Management from the University of Cape Coast. Bernard is a team oriented individual who loves to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams with a strong commitment to achieving shared goals.
Outside the working space, Bernard is committed to maintaining a healthy family relationship balance with a strong emphasis on family values and responsibilities. He loves to get involved and help with church activities as well. Bernard is a football enthusiast and a Chelsea F.C fanatic. On weekends, he loves to play and watch lots of football. He loves to read, visit family and go on both educational and fun trips.
Every moment a child is off the streets and in the classroom is another moment for the Future of Africa.
Esther's New Year’s resolution was to make a difference in her community and after researching FOA, she knew she’d found the perfect place to give back.
Ten former street children have embarked on vocational training programs to launch successful careers in fields like fashion design, auto mechanics, carpentry and catering.
Through street outreach, leadership workshops, and reflection sessions, FOA immerses high school and university students in the challenges faced by street children, helping them understand the issue and become advocates for change.
